柏富證券 CPLUS SECURITIES （“柏富證券 / CPLUS”） is concerned to ensure that all personal data submitted through this website are handled in strict adherence to the relevant provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PD(P)O).

Below is our Circular relating to the personal Data (Privacy) ordinance

  • From time to time, it is necessary for Client to supply 柏富證券 CPLUS SECURITIES with Client’s personal data and/or a copy of Client identification documents in connection with the opening or continuation of accounts with 柏富證券 CPLUS SECURITIES or provision of services relating to securities investment by 柏富證券 CPLUS SECURITIES.
  • Failure to supply such data may result in 柏富證券 CPLUS SECURITIES being unable to open and provision or continuation of financial or advisory services to you.
  • It is also the case that Client’s personal data are collected from clients in the ordinary course of the continuation of the business relationship.

  • The purposes for which personal data supplied by Client may be used are as follows:-

    • 4.1 the daily operation of the Services provided to Client;
    • 4.2 conduct credit checks;
    • 4.3 assisting other financial institutions to conduct credit checks;
    • 4.4 ensuring ongoing credit worthiness of Client;
    • 4.5 designing services relating to securities investment, or related products for customers’ use
    • 4.6 marketing services relating to securities investment, or related products;
    • 4.7 determining the amount of indebtedness owed to or by customers;
    • 4.8 collection of amounts outstanding from customers and those providing security for customers’ obligation;
    • 4.9 meeting the requirements to make disclosure under the requirements of any rule, regulation or law binding on 柏富證券 CPLUS SECURITIES; and
    • 4.10 purposes relating thereto.

  • 5. Personal data of Client held by 柏富證券 CPLUS SECURITIES will be kept confidential but 柏富證券 CPLUS SECURITIES may provide such information to:-

    • 5.1 any agents, contractor or third party service provider who provides administrative, telecommunications, computer, payment or securities clearing or other services to 柏富證券 CPLUS SECURITIES in connection with the operation of its business;
    • 5.2 any other branch of 柏富證券 CPLUS SECURITIES or any related companies in connection with the promotion or provision of products or services that our group may render
    • 5.3 any other person under a duty of confidentiality to 柏富證券 CPLUS SECURITIES including 柏富證券 CPLUS SECURITIES’s Group Companies which has undertaken to keep such information confidential;
    • 5.4 any financial institution and their respective associates with which Client has or proposes to have dealings; and
    • 5.8 any actual or proposed assignee of 柏富證券 CPLUS SECURITIES or participant or sub-participant or transferee of 柏富證券 CPLUS SECURITIES’s right in respect of Client.

  • Use of personal data in direct marketing
    柏富證券 CPLUS SECURITIES intends to use personal data of Client in direct marketing and may not so use the data unless it has received Client's consent (which includes an indication of no objection) to the intended use. Please note that:

    • 6.1 the name, contact details (telephone number, fax number, email address and address), products and services portfolio information, transaction pattern and behaviour, financial background and demographic data which are held by 柏富證券 CPLUS SECURITIES from time to time may be used in direct marketing;

    • 6.2 the following classes of services, products and subjects may be marketed:

      • (a) securities, investment, financial, credit and related services and products; and
      • (b) reward, incentive or promotional programs and related services and products;
    • 6.3 the above services, products and subjects may be provided by 柏富證券 CPLUS SECURITIES or Beijing Shoutong Securities Hong Kong Group Limited’s Group Companies; and
    • 6.4 in addition to marketing the above services, products and subjects by itself, 柏富證券 CPLUS SECURITIES also intends to provide the data described in paragraph 6(a) above to 柏富證券 CPLUS SECURITIES’s Group Companies for use by them in marketing those services, products and subjects, and 柏富證券 CPLUS SECURITIES may not so provide the data unless it has received Client’s (being an individual) written consent (which includes an indication of no objection) to the intended provision.

    If Client (being an individual) does not wish 柏富證券 CPLUS SECURITIES to use or provide to other persons his/her data for use in direct marketing as described above, Client may exercise his/her opt-out right by notifying 柏富證券 CPLUS SECURITIES through the channel specified in paragraph 9 below.

  • 7. Under and in accordance with the terms of the Ordinance any individual: -

    • 7.1 has the right to check whether 柏富證券 CPLUS SECURITIES hold data about him and the right of access to such data;
    • 7.2 has the right to require 柏富證券 CPLUS SECURITIES to correct any data relating to him which is inaccurate;
    • 7.3 has the right to ascertain 柏富證券 CPLUS SECURITIES’s policies and practices in relation to data and to be informed of the kind of personal data held by 柏富證券 CPLUS SECURITIES.
  • 8. In accordance with the terms of the Ordinance, 柏富證券 CPLUS SECURITIES have the right to charge a reasonable fee for the processing of any data access request.

  • 10. The person to whom requests for : (i) access to data or correction of data for information regarding policies and practices and kinds of data held; and (ii) exercising his/her opt-out right in relation to direct marketing, are to be addressed is as follows: -
